What conditions do regenerative injections treat?

Short answer

Regenerative injections — PRP, Prolozone, and stem cell therapy — are most commonly considered for chronic joint, tendon, ligament, and spine conditions confirmed on imaging, including knee osteoarthritis, meniscus and ligament tears, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, rotator cuff and shoulder conditions, hip osteoarthritis and bursitis, and plantar fasciitis or chronic tendonitis. Which specific therapy fits which condition varies, and candidacy for any of them depends on your imaging and history, not on symptoms alone.

The conditions we evaluate most often

  • Knee osteoarthritis and cartilage wear – considered for cushioning loss and joint inflammation
  • Meniscus tears and ligament damage – PRP and Prolozone used for partial tears and instability
  • Lower back pain and degenerative disc disease – injections directed at specific discs and facet joints
  • Sciatica and nerve compression – anti-inflammatory injections around the irritated nerve
  • Rotator cuff tears and shoulder pain – tendon-targeted injections for partial tears and impingement
  • Hip osteoarthritis and bursitis – joint or bursa injections depending on the source of pain
  • Plantar fasciitis and chronic tendonitis – PRP and Prolozone for heel, Achilles, and elbow pain

Why the list isn’t the same as a guarantee

Being on this list means a condition is one we commonly evaluate for regenerative injections — it doesn’t mean everyone with that diagnosis is automatically a candidate. Imaging findings, how long you’ve had symptoms, and what you’ve already tried all factor into whether any of these therapies is actually appropriate for you specifically.

If your condition isn’t listed here

This isn’t an exhaustive list of every condition these injections can be used for. If you don’t see your specific situation above, the most useful next step is a conversation rather than assuming it’s out of scope — we’ll tell you directly if it’s not something we treat.
