About Dr. Jeff Hanson
Dr. Hanson received his doctorate in 2007 from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, the oldest school for natural and integrative medicine. He then completed a two-year residency in general primary care at the Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida, alongside Dr. Kirti Kalidas, MD, ND.
For seven years he worked as an associate doctor with Dr. Frank Shallenberger, MD, at The Nevada Center in Carson City. Dr. Shallenberger is known nationally for his pioneering work using ozone gas, or prolozone, to treat chronic joint pain and acute injuries. Learning this therapy is what brought Dr. Hanson to the region from the Pacific Northwest, and he later founded the Tahoe Natural Medical Center in South Lake Tahoe.
Dr. Hanson has been walking the talk since he was twelve, drinking wheat grass shots and carrot juice. He spent three years on an organic farm and ten years in the natural food industry. Born and raised in Minnesota, he brings a strong work ethic to everything he does.
