Conditions We Treat with Naturopathic & Regenerative Medicine in Folsom

Ten conditions, one approach: find what’s actually driving the problem, then treat it with your own biology where possible — regenerative injections for worn joints and damaged tendons, root-cause naturopathic care for hormones, thyroid, and fatigue.

  • Naturopathic, root-cause assessment
  • Non-surgical regenerative treatment
  • Honest answer if you’re not a candidate

Most evaluations are scheduled within 48 hours.

How we practice

Two disciplines, one premise

Naturopathic and regenerative medicine start from the same place — that the body has repair mechanisms worth supporting before you suppress a symptom or remove a structure. Every condition on this page is approached that way.

Naturopathic medicine

Our naturopathic doctors are trained to look for what’s causing a symptom rather than to quiet it and move on. In practice that means comprehensive lab work, attention to nutrition, sleep, and metabolic health, and the time to connect findings that get treated separately elsewhere. Fatigue is the clearest example — it’s rarely one thing, and it’s rarely resolved by testing one marker.

Regenerative medicine

Injection therapies that use your own biology — platelets, cells, and oxygen-ozone — to support repair in damaged joints, discs, and tendons. Nothing is removed, nothing is fused, and no future surgical option is closed off. Treatment is placed under imaging guidance so it reaches the structure identified on your scan rather than the general area.

Where does it hurt?

Select an area to jump to the conditions we treat there. Hormone and thyroid conditions are systemic rather than site-specific — they’re grouped separately below.

  • 2

Pain in more than one area? That’s common, and often related. One evaluation covers all of it — you don’t need separate appointments.

Joint, Spine & Tendon Conditions

7 conditions

Assessed naturopathically, treated regeneratively — stem cell therapy, PRP, and prolozone placed under imaging guidance into the structure driving your pain, alongside the nutritional and metabolic factors that determine how well tissue actually heals.

Knee Osteoarthritis & Cartilage Wear

Worn cartilage, bone-on-bone friction, and the stiffness that makes stairs a decision. Stem cell, PRP, and prolozone options for patients who want to postpone replacement.

Meniscus Tears & Ligament Damage

Catching, locking, and instability from meniscal tears or ligament sprains — treated without removing cushioning tissue you can’t grow back.

Lower Back Pain & Degenerative Disc Disease

Disc height loss and facet joint arthritis driving chronic lumbar ache. Injection options aimed at the specific level rather than another course of anti-inflammatories.

Sciatica & Nerve Compression

Radiating leg pain, numbness, and weakness from an irritated sciatic nerve — addressing the compression site, not just the pain signal.

Partial tears, bursitis, and impingement treated under ultrasound guidance — with no sling and no months of restricted movement.

Hip Osteoarthritis & Bursitis

Groin pain from the joint and outer-hip pain from the bursa are two different problems. We identify which one you have before treating it.

Heel, Achilles, and elbow pain that has passed the six-month mark, where the tissue is degenerated rather than inflamed and rest has stopped helping.

Hormone & Endocrine Conditions

3 conditions

This is core naturopathic territory — comprehensive lab work rather than a single marker, protocols dosed to your results, and the nutrient, sleep, and metabolic contributors addressed alongside the hormone itself.

Male Low T & Andropause

Fatigue, muscle loss, and low drive investigated with a full panel — then a physician-supervised protocol dosed to your numbers and monitored properly.

Perimenopause & Menopause

Hypothyroidism & Chronic Fatigue

Exhaustion, cold intolerance, and weight gain when a single TSH result came back normal. A full panel including antibodies usually explains more.

Common questions

Before you book

It means the clinician assessing you is trained to look for causes rather than to match a symptom to a prescription. Practically, that shows up as broader lab work, questions about sleep, nutrition, and stress that a ten-minute appointment skips, and a willingness to say the problem isn’t where you thought it was. It doesn’t mean rejecting conventional medicine — imaging, laboratory testing, and referral to a surgeon when surgery is the right answer are all part of how we work.

Regenerative injections work on tissue, but how well tissue heals depends on things injections don’t address — thyroid function, vitamin D and iron status, blood sugar, sleep quality, inflammatory load. Treating the joint while ignoring those factors is why some patients get disappointing results from PRP elsewhere. Assessing both is the point of combining the two.

No — book one evaluation. Multi-site pain is common and often related, particularly hip and lower back, or knee and hip. We assess the whole picture in a single visit rather than treating each joint as an unconnected problem.

Possibly. The pages above cover what we treat most often, not an exhaustive list. Regenerative injections are used across many joints and tendons, and naturopathic hormone and thyroid care covers a broader range of symptoms than the three pages suggest. Call and describe your situation — we’ll tell you honestly if it’s outside what we do.

For joint and tendon conditions it comes down to imaging and examination — how much structural damage is present and whether the tissue still has healing capacity. For hormone conditions it comes down to lab work. Either way, candidacy is confirmed at the evaluation, and we’ll tell you if the answer is no.

Regenerative injections are generally not covered and are paid out of pocket. Much of the hormone and thyroid lab work often is, though extended panels may not be. Diagnostic imaging and portions of the evaluation may also be billable. You’ll get clear pricing in writing before anything is scheduled.
